Wk4 EOC - Who is Bob Isherwood (Fund. Of Advertising)


                Bob Isherwood is the former Australian worldwide creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi. Isherwood joined Saatchi & Saatchi in 1986. Becoming a creative director in 1988, Isherwood also became a member of the network’s executive board in 1996. After being with Saatchi & Saatchi for twenty-two years, Isherwood went separate ways from the agency which “breaks up one of the longest-standing leadership teams in the agency business.” Throughout Bob Isherwood’s career, “his work has been well documented in many books and endorsed by the industry's most prestigious national and international award shows.” Isherwood was also the creative director responsible for mass marketing the launch of the Prius, a hybrid car made by Toyota. He has been elected to the Clio Hall of Fame in the United States, and named leading creative director in Australia. He has also won Australia’s first Gold Lion for Cinema at Cannes International Advertising Festival. After ending his career as the creative director at Saatchi, Isherwood says he needs “more than one life in my lifetime.” Isherwood worked alongside Kevin Roberts, the creator of “Love marks” books, and CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi. Through Isherwood’s work at Saatchi he “tried to push the idea that Saatchi & Saatchi is an ideas agency, not an ad agency.”
